Maureen’s Hope and the Syracuse Silver Knights collaborated for a Community Night to support the mission of Maureen’s Hope. The players participated in our Carry a Bead program at their practice on March 1, 2016. Beads of Courage member, Hally Krolik, kicked off the first ball at their game on Friday, March 4 against the Harrisburg Heat. Players and fans honored our pediatric oncology and cystic fibrosis patients at the game. The beads will then be given to patients at Golisano Children’s Hospital that are enrolled in our Beads of Courage Program. Each bead comes with a personal note from the players and given a sign of strength and perseverance and to let the children know they are not alone. It is human solidarity at it’s best. Thank you to the Silver Knights for your support!
